The NVH and Digital Twin Laboratory (NVDT Lab) specializes in advanced research combining analytical and experimental methodologies for creating digital twins of mechanical, structural, acoustic, and biological systems. Our primary mission is to develop, implement, and refine cutting-edge measurement techniques and simulation procedures to enhance understanding, optimization, and prediction of system behaviors.

We actively engage in federally and industry-sponsored research projects and offer specialized consulting services to industrial partners.

  • Digital Image Correlation (DIC) Measurement System (NSF Award #1625987): Non-contact full-field dynamic strain and displacement measurements with high-speed and low-speed cameras.

  • SCADAS III BPROC Data Acquisition Systems by LMS Instruments.
  • Modal Shaker System: ISA 750 Professional Amplifier by QSC, Model 2100 E11 Modal Exciter (100 lbf) by The Modal Shop.

  • Two-channel Digital Storage Oscilloscope, Function Generators, Wide-range Strain Indicator, Power Supplies, and various Strain Gauges.
