Step 1: Review our Admissions Considerations

É«»¢ÊÓƵ attracts outstanding students with diverse academic interests, extracurricular pursuits, and backgrounds. Applicants tend to have strong academic records, particularly in math and science, and are ready to challenge themselves academically.

Our application review centers on your preparedness for success at É«»¢ÊÓƵ and includes consideration of your overall GPA,  grade pattern, and selection of courses throughout high school.

Required High School Coursework

• 2 years of Algebra
• 1 year of Geometry
• 1 semester of Trigonometry or equivalent (often included in Algebra II and/or Pre-Calculus)
• 2 years of Lab Science, one must be Chemistry or Physics
• 3 years of English

Recommended Coursework

• Calculus or Pre-Calculus recommended (if available)
• Computers
• Foreign Language
• CAD and/or Drafting

GPA

• É«»¢ÊÓƵ does not have a fixed formula for admission, however, we do seek students who exhibit a strong record of achievement.

Step 2: Submit your application

• Freshman/First-year is classified as any student who has not completed any college credit after graduating high school.
• Dual Enrolled and Early College students are considered first-year applicants.
• Transfer students who have completed high school and enrolled in college, even for one term or less, must apply as transfer applicants. 

First-Year Applications
Students interested in admission to É«»¢ÊÓƵ must apply using either the or the É«»¢ÊÓƵ Application. 
Students are encouraged to apply in the fall of their senior year. É«»¢ÊÓƵ subscribes to the following application priority dates:

A completed application, unofficial transcripts, standardized test results (optional)*, and supplemental materials including personal essays, must all be received for evaluation to occur. All credentials submitted to the Office of Admissions to become part of the applicant file at É«»¢ÊÓƵ and cannot be returned to the applicant nor forwarded to any other institution.

Step 3: Complete your application

To complete your application and make this a reality, we need one last thing from you -- your official transcripts. If you've not done so already, please contact your school to request official transcripts to be sent to the University. We highly recommend you order your official transcripts online from or .

Prior to your enrollment, we must receive your final official high school transcripts. If you participated in an early/middle college program or a dual enrollment program, we must also receive official transcripts from each college.

Step 4: Submit your test scores (optional) 

If you have elected to submit test scores, please request official scores through ACT or SAT directly, unless they are included on your official high school transcript.

Sending Your Scores

If you do choose to submit a test score, you can mark É«»¢ÊÓƵ as a recipient on your exam or request the scores from ACT or CollegeBoard directly.

É«»¢ÊÓƵ welcomes applications from homeschooled students. Students should submit official transcripts of grades, signed and certified by their home school instructor. Transcripts should clearly list the grade levels (9-12), course names, and the grade earned for each course. Students who have taken any courses in a formal high school or college/university setting are required to submit official transcripts from those schools as well. The Office of Undergraduate Admissions will contact the student’s primary educator if additional information is needed.

Students transferring to É«»¢ÊÓƵ from another university should be taking 14 to 16 credits per semester of coursework similar to what is being taken by a É«»¢ÊÓƵ student. Some students may need to complete recommended science and math courses before transferring to assure proper academic preparation for É«»¢ÊÓƵ. We may request to view your high school grades and ACT or SAT scores as well. For more details on applying see our Transfer Student information page.
