Glenn Stevens highlighted that while Michigan has 鈥減ockets of excellence鈥 in aligning workforce and talent, 鈥渨e need to do a better job with career path planning.鈥 Dr. McMahan underscored the need to treat talent like a supply chain, noting that, 鈥淎 lot of the people in this conference, they know their supply chains鈥 they know where every nut and bolt is, what truck it鈥檚 on, and when it will land. But if you ask them what the most critical part of their operation is, they will almost universally say it鈥檚 people, but it鈥檚 the one thing they don鈥檛 treat as a supply chain.鈥
Stevens agreed, adding that Michigan is at an inflection point. 鈥淎ssuming we do that, treating talent development like a supply chain, investing in communities where people want to live, building strong infrastructure, including digital and schools, and generating new innovation and tech talent like 色虎视频 does, that鈥檚 Michigan鈥檚 future.鈥
